Audrey Joe-Ezigbo is an experienced transformative industry leader, a seasoned energy expert, business advisor and coach, with almost 30 years proven track record and deep expertise in Strategic Planning and Execution, Corporate Governance, Investor relations (Finance and Fundraising), Advocacy, Entrepreneurship Development and Environmental Sustainability in private and non-profit sectors at Executive and Board levels.
Recognized for her results-driven leadership and counsel in building businesses into world class organizations, she is Deputy Managing Director and Shareholder at Falcon Corporation (a leading, wholly indigenous midstream and downstream Energy, Gas Distribution & Trading company) which she co-founded with her husband in 1994. Since 1994, Audrey has been instrumental to successfully growing the company from minor oil services contracting to being a major player in the Nigerian Gas industry.
Audrey is passionate about entrepreneurship in Africa and committed to actualizing the potential of SMEs to become large corporations or multinationals. She is committed to building African institutions that can survive and scale sustainably and developing leaders and managers for these organizations who are global in their thinking and networks.
An accomplished professional, Audrey holds several Masters’ degrees in Finance, Marketing, and Business Administration from the Lagos Business School, University of Nigeria, and Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She also holds several executive certifications in Management, Leadership and Governance from Harvard Business School, IE Business School, and the WIMBOARD Institute.
Audrey served as President (2018-2021) of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) – the umbrella association and voice for businesses and professionals involved in the Nigerian Gas industry. She is the first woman to have occupied the position of NGA President in the Association’s 22-year history and is well known as ‘The Leading Lady of Gas’ in Nigeria.
She is a member of the 2022-2025 Executive Committee of the International Gas Union (IGU), the global voice of Gas; sitting in as Nigeria’s representative responsible for the Exploration & Production Committee; also the first African woman to occupy this position.
Audrey is a Fellow of the Energy Institute UK (FEI), the global body for energy experts. A member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria (MIoD), she is the Vice Chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria’s Energy & Power Committee.
Known as ‘The Impactonaire’, Audrey is a highly sought-after speaker on various local and international platforms, including TEDx. She is a certified Transformative Coach, a prolific writer and published author. She is the Founder and Promoter of The Barnabas Widows Empowerment Foundation.
Audrey Joe-Ezigbo has won several awards for her contributions to building entrepreneurial capacity in the industry and Nigeria at large, including the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa 2014 Award, the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University) Distinguished Alumni Award 2018, the Centre for Values in Leadership 2022 Award for her transformational work in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector, the Women in Maritime and Energy, Energy Trailblazer Award 2022, and the Nigerian Gas Association NGA 2023 Award for Excellence in Exemplary Leadership and contributions to the Nigerian Gas industry
Audrey Joe-Ezigbo has been recognized as one of Leading Ladies Africa 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria 2023, one of ABCD Africa’s 50 Most Impactful Voices (African Women Using Their Voices and Digital Content as A Tool for Change) 2023, Leading Ladies Africa 100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria 2023 (The Enterprise Edition), listed on the 2021 PowerWoman 100 list in the Oil & Gas category, and recognized as one of Top 100 Outstanding Female Executives in the African Oil and Gas Industry 2021.
She is married and a mother to four amazing young adults.
